Harry Kane reveals the one condition that could win him the Ballon d’Or — and it all comes down to trophies
Harry Kane has launched the new campaign in blistering form, scoring at will and nearly every match, yet he remains convinced he will not win the Ballon d’Or — and he has made clear what must happen for that to change.
Details: Speaking to the Mirror, the striker said that even if he scored one hundred goals in a single season, he would not win the Ballon d’Or unless he lifted the UEFA Champions League or the World Cup. He added that the same applies to Erling Haaland.
Quote: “I could score 100 goals this season, but if I don’t win the Champions League or the World Cup, then I probably won’t win the Ballon d’Or. The same goes for Haaland and any other player. You have to win those major trophies,” Kane said.
Kane currently has 17 appearances across all competitions for Bayern and 23 goals, along with three assists for the Englishman.
Reminder: Barcelona continue their search for a new centre-forward and have reportedly identified Robert Lewandowski’s successor — once again, a player from Bayern Munich.
