Details: After netting a brace in the World Cup round of 32 against DR Congo, England striker Harry Kane has officially surpassed the milestone of 20 goals combined at World Cups and European Championships.
He now shares this remarkable feat with Cristiano Ronaldo, who for a long time stood alone as the only player to reach such a record.
Cristiano Ronaldo remains in the lead with 24 goals, achieved across 55 matches. In contrast, Harry Kane has reached the 20-goal mark in just 33 games, showcasing phenomenal scoring form and efficiency on the biggest stage.
It's worth noting that in the round of 16, Kane will have a chance to add even more to his tally, as England are set to face Mexico. The match is scheduled for Monday, July 6, with kick-off at 02:00 Central European Time.
Reminder: Roberto Martinez made a key statement about Ronaldo ahead of the clash with Croatia.
