The future of Barcelona's coaching bench now hangs directly on the outcome of the presidential elections.

Details: According to Marca, Hansi Flick is seriously considering stepping down if someone other than Joan Laporta takes over the club following the vote. Despite his current contract and impressive results, the German coach has no intention of becoming part of another political project.

Should Laporta's opponent win the presidency, Deco will also leave Barcelona's structure. Victor Font has openly stated that if he comes to power, Deco will immediately vacate his post as sporting director. Font has strongly criticized the Portuguese executive for the transfer of Vitor Roque and the free departure of Inigo Martinez, considering his management ineffective.

Flick himself has repeatedly emphasized in recent interviews the synergy he shares with the current sporting director.

"I am very happy with Deco. We have mutual trust and a shared philosophy when it comes to player selection. I have never experienced such unity with management before," the coach stated.

If Laporta is re-elected on July 1, the club plans not only to keep Deco but also to offer Flick a long-term contract extension. However, if there is a change at the top, Barcelona could start the new season with both a new head coach and a new sporting director.

Reminder: Robert Lewandowski has matched the phenomenal statistical milestones of Ronaldo and Messi.
