Hamza Abdelkarim has taken another step forward in his development. A few weeks after signing a permanent contract with FC Barcelona following a loan spell from Al Ahly SC, the young Egyptian’s dream continues.

Having taken part in the 2026 World Cup with the Pharaohs of Egypt this summer, Hamza Abdelkarim has now earned the trust of his manager at FC Barcelona. Hansi Flick has called up the promising young Egyptian to the first team for the pre-season training camp in England.

Hamza Abdelkarim now has the opportunity to try to win over the coaching staff before the start of the new season. If he manages to impress the German manager, the Egyptian forward could secure a place in FC Barcelona’s first team as early as next season.
