Hansi Flick Brushes Off Club World Cup Talk, Focuses Solely on Barcelona
Barcelona's head coach, Hans Flick, has reiterated that he is only thinking on his team and not the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. Barcelona, unlike other Spanish teams like Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, will not be participating in this major competition, despite the fact that it will feature elite teams from all over the world.
Speaking at a press conference, Flick stated, “We’re not part of the tournament, so my focus remains on preparing my team. What matters is ending the season strong and ensuring our players have a solid pre-season to build momentum.”
Flick shifted attention to their imminent La Liga match against Real Betis, lauding their opponents for their experienced squad and possession-based style under Manuel Pellegrini. The German coach also addressed the situation of Vitor Roque, a Barcelona player currently on loan at Betis, expressing his belief that the move was beneficial for the player’s development.
Barcelona is ready to play against Betis with more energy after winning against Mallorca. They are trying hard to keep up their good form during a tough season.
