Hakimi Celebrates CAF Award with Burna Boy Soundtrack

Achraf Hakimi has drawn wide attention after releasing a 37-second video celebrating his CAF 2025 Men’s Player of the Year award. The clip, shared by @PoojaMedia on X, features Burna Boy’s popular track On The Low as its soundtrack.

The video shows Hakimi arriving in Marrakech, stepping onto the red carpet, and later lifting the prestigious award. It also includes moments from his travels, glamour shots, and key highlights from his season with Paris Saint-Germain and Morocco.

The use of On The Low has been widely praised, with many noting how the song’s theme of quiet confidence fits Hakimi’s calm but commanding presence. Fans have also welcomed the nod to Nigerian Afrobeat.

Hakimi became the first defender in 52 years to win the Men’s Player of the Year award, finishing ahead of Mohamed Salah and Victor Osimhen after an exceptional 2024–25 season.
