Moroccan Achraf Hakimi has confirmed that he is not looking forward to winning the Africa Player of the Year award for 2025.
The Moroccan fullback competes with several African names to win this award, including Ademola Lookman and other distinguished players.
Hakimi is one of the best PSG players of this season, as he contributed to the victory of his French team in the French league championship and the French Cup also for 2024.
The 26-year-old, who scored 10 goals in 82 international matches for Morocco, noted that even if he did not win the award, he would still be proud of the nomination.
“It’s a source of pride and satisfaction, especially knowing that the work I’ve been doing for a long time will be rewarded with this nomination, It’s true that it’s an important trophy on an individual level, but I’m happy to be here, “I hope I can win it, but if not, I’m happy to be here, and it makes me want to keep working” Hakimi said.
