Habib Beye proposed to Monaco
The Senegalese tactician could take the reins at the Principality club should Sébastien Pocognoli leave.
Having arrived at Marseille last February following his departure from Rennes, Habib Beye’s results have not been universally praised. The Marseille side were knocked out of the Coupe de France under his leadership and have slim chances of qualifying for European competition next season.
This is fuelling speculation about the former Senegal international’s future at the helm of Marseille’s coaching staff. Some sources believe that Beye is unlikely to be in charge of Marseille next season.
Amidst these rumours, La Provence reports that the Senegalese tactician has been put forward to Monaco. The Marseille manager’s agents are said to have submitted the Senegalese coach’s profile to the Monaco club’s management.
Sébastien Pocognoli’s future at Monaco is not assured, and a potential departure of the Belgian manager could present an opportunity for Habib Beye.
