Guirassy replacement. Stuttgart have signed a new forward for a record fee

Due to minor issues during his medical examination, Serhou Guirassy has yet to officially complete his transfer to Borussia Dortmund, but Stuttgart has already found a replacement for their top scorer.
Today, Stuttgart officially announced the signing of Augsburg striker Ermedin Demirović. The Swabians paid a club-record fee of 21 million euros for the Bosnian forward. Demirović has signed a contract until the summer of 2028.
Previously, the most expensive player in Stuttgart's history was Nicolás González, for whom they paid Argentinos Juniors 11.2 million euros.
In the recently concluded season, Demirović was a key player for Augsburg, scoring 15 goals and providing 10 assists in 33 Bundesliga matches.
As a reminder, Stuttgart sensationally finished second in the Bundesliga last season and qualified for the 2024/25 Champions League.
