The main candidate to replace the 37-year-old veteran is Tottenham and Italy national team goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario. The 29-year-old is eager for a change of scenery and is ready to join one of Serie A’s top contenders.

Vicario’s contract with the Spurs runs until June 2028, but a potential transfer is expected to cost no more than €20 million. The price may also depend on whether the Londoners manage to retain their Premier League status.

In the 2025/26 season, Vicario featured in 43 matches across all competitions, conceding 65 goals and keeping 13 clean sheets.
