Guardiola wants Pedri: Barcelona might get 200 million euros

English giants Manchester City, according to Fichajes, are considering a blockbuster transfer this summer, targeting one of Barcelona's midfield leaders — Pedri.
It is reported that the club from Etihad is ready to offer a staggering 200 million euros to convince the Catalans to let go of their talented midfielder. Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has long been closely monitoring Pedri's development, noting his outstanding abilities — from precise positioning to confident decision-making and high technical level.
Until recently, City also showed interest in Florian Wirtz from Bayer, but after abandoning the idea of signing the German, the focus has shifted back to the Spanish footballer.
In Barcelona, Pedri has long been considered an integral part of the team. Despite his age, he plays with great maturity, demonstrating composure, intelligent ball distribution, and confidence in key moments of matches. The club's management sees him as one of the players around whom the future team will be built.
It is expected that concluding such a deal will be extremely difficult. Barcelona does not consider parting with the player, and Pedri himself has not expressed a desire to change teams. Even such a large sum may not influence the Catalans' decision to keep their leader.
