Guardiola reveals what he told Haaland after his missed penalty against Everton

Manchester City continues to struggle, with another frustrating result this week: a 1-1 draw against Everton.

Erling Haaland had the opportunity to secure victory for City but missed a penalty, failing to beat Jordan Pickford from the spot.

Ahead of tomorrow's match against Leicester, City manager Pep Guardiola addressed a journalist's question about what he said to Haaland following the missed penalty.

Quote. "What did I say to Haaland after his miss? I congratulated the team. I said, 'It was a good game, guys.'

The only chance we have is to keep going, recover well. We need to prepare properly for Leicester, play well, and finish the year on a positive note," Guardiola told Fabrizio Romano.

Reminder. Haaland is currently enduring his longest streak without goals or assists for Manchester City, going 420 minutes without directly contributing to a goal.

On Sunday, December 29, City will close out the year with an away match against Leicester in the Premier League.
