Griezmann Reportedly Considering MLS Move to LAFC
Antoine Griezmann's time at Atlético Madrid may be nearing its end, with reports linking the French forward to a potential move to Major League Soccer. According to Fichajes.net, Los Angeles FC are seriously interested in signing the 34-year-old, who remains under contract with Atleti until 2026.
Griezmann’s French national teammate Olivier Giroud, who recently joined LAFC, has fueled speculation by revealing that the Atlético star showed interest in the MLS after hearing about Giroud’s move. With 16 goals and 8 assists this season, Griezmann continues to deliver at a high level, but a fresh challenge in the United States could be on the horizon.
LAFC are building a squad filled with international names, including Hugo Lloris and now Giroud, and see Griezmann as a marquee addition. Talks between the player's camp and the club are said to be ongoing, though nothing has been finalized yet.
Back in Madrid, Atlético are already preparing for next season. Should Griezmann depart, the club would need to identify a high-caliber replacement to maintain their attacking strength. The final months of the season could determine whether Griezmann stays or says goodbye.
