Roma have made a significant move toward signing Marseille striker Mason Greenwood. The Roman club has already agreed personal terms with the 24-year-old Englishman and is set to submit its first official offer to the French side in the near future.

According to Calciomercato.com, the parties have settled on a five-year deal. Greenwood's base salary will be around €4.5 million per season, with the contract stipulating gradual wage increases and additional performance-related bonuses.

Gianluca Di Marzio and Sky Sport Italia report that Roma are preparing an opening bid of €45 million. This figure includes bonuses as well as a percentage of any future resale of the player. Meanwhile, Marseille value Greenwood at €55 million, meaning the two clubs remain about €10 million apart in their valuation of the transfer.
