Al Ahly has successfully extended the contract of its star goalkeeper Mohamed El Shenawy, which is a huge boost for the Egyptian football giant.

The extension is a relief for Al Ahly supporters, especially with the Club World Cup set to take place in the United States starting June 14.

The news of El Shenawy's contract extension was confirmed by former sporting director Mohamed Ramadan in an interview with Egyptian TV.
