This weekend marked the final PGA Tour event of 2024, the Grant Thornton Invitational. After four rounds, the winners have been announced.
The Grant Thornton Invitational is an annual mixed-team golf tournament featuring pairs consisting of one PGA Tour player and one LPGA Tour player. It’s a unique format where a man and a woman form a team. First held in 2023, it replaced the QBE Shootout on the PGA Tour schedule.
This year’s winners were Jake Knapp and Patty Tavatanakit, who completed the four rounds with a score of 27-under par. Finishing in second place were Tom Kim and Atthaya Thitikul, with a score of 26-under par. The top three were rounded out by Akshay Bhatia and Jennifer Kupcho, who ended with 25-under par.
This tournament concluded the 2024 season. The action resumes in January, with The Sentry taking place from January 4 to 7.
Notably, Scottie Scheffler claimed victory at the Hero World Challenge for the second consecutive year. He showcased an impressive performance throughout the tournament to secure the title.
Reminder: Legendary American golfer Tiger Woods, who has been battling injuries in recent years, rarely appears at tournaments. Recently, he shared updates about his current condition.
