Granit Xhaka turns down Saudis and heads to Serie A

The Bayer Leverkusen holding midfielder has decided where he’ll continue his career.
Details: According to journalist and insider Dimitris Manakos, 32-year-old Swiss national team and Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Granit Xhaka has agreed to join AC Milan.
It’s reported that the contract, set to be signed soon, will run for two years. The transfer fee remains under wraps for now, but should be revealed in the near future.
Milan’s offer wasn’t the only one on the table for Xhaka—he was reportedly a hot target for clubs in the Saudi Pro League. However, the player is adamant that he can still compete at the highest European level and isn’t ready to leave for the riches of the Middle East just yet.
Although earlier reports claimed that Bayer Leverkusen had flatly refused to sell Xhaka, the story has clearly taken an intriguing turn, with the Rossoneri making “an offer he couldn’t refuse.”
This season, Granit Xhaka has tallied 2 goals and 7 assists in 49 appearances for the “Pharmacists,” and Transfermarkt currently values him at €12 million.
Reminder: As a replacement for Reijnders. Milan are targeting Valencia midfielder Javi Guerra
