Atlético Madrid head coach Diego Simeone has reached a remarkable milestone—1,000 matches in his managerial career. The landmark occasion coincided with the 34th round of La Liga against Valencia, marking a symbolic moment for one of the most recognizable figures in modern football.
Over the years, Simeone has taken charge of 795 matches at the helm of Atlético Madrid and has also managed several other clubs, building an impressive managerial record: 18 matches with Catania, 47 with San Lorenzo, 45 with River Plate, 61 with Estudiantes, and another 34 matches with Racing Club.
This milestone stands as a significant landmark in the career of the Argentine manager, who has been a pivotal figure in Atlético's project since 2011 and remains one of the most consistent coaches in European football.
