GPL: Medeama SC Snatch Late Point Against Bechem United in 1–1 Draw

League leaders Medeama SC fought back to secure a 1–1 draw against Bechem United, thanks to a late penalty in a tense encounter.

The hosts looked set for victory after captain Augustine Okrah headed them in front in the 69th minute, putting Bechem United in control.

However, Medeama responded strongly, dominating possession and piling pressure on the home side’s defence. Their persistence paid off late on when Prince was fouled in the box, earning a crucial penalty.

Salim Adams kept his composure to convert from the spot in the 88th minute, rescuing a valuable point for Medeama.

The result ensures Medeama SC remain at the top of the table, extending their lead slightly as the title race continues.
