GPL: Hearts of Oak Striker Hamza Issah Moves to Terminate Contract Over Three Months of Unpaid Salary

Hearts of Oak forward Hamza Issah has taken steps to terminate his contract with the club after reportedly going three months without receiving his salary.

In a statement released by Prosport International on December 8, 2025, the agency confirmed that the striker had not been paid since September 2025, despite being entitled to a monthly gross salary of GH₵5,000. According to the agency, the unpaid months span September, October, and November 2025, with no indication from the club that the outstanding wages would be settled.

Prosport International expressed concern over the club’s handling of the situation, stating:

“We act on behalf of professional footballer Hamza Issah. Our client has advised us that he has not received his contractually agreed monthly salary for a continuous period of three (3) months—September, October, and November 2025. The Club’s persistent failure to honour its financial obligation constitutes a continued and material breach of the employment agreement.”
