Karim Benzema's move to Al-Hilal has added extra fuel to the rivalry between these two legends in Saudi Arabia.
Details: According to the Telegraph, immediately after signing his contract, French striker Karim Benzema sent a message to his longtime friend and former Real Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.
In their exchange, the Ballon d'Or winner jokingly pointed out that his transfer to the "Blues" turned out to be much more lucrative than Cristiano's stay at Al-Nassr. Benzema quipped that not only did he get a salary bump, but he now has a much greater chance of claiming the league title again—hinting at the dominant status of his new club in the Pro League.
Recall that this winter, the English forward switched clubs within Saudi Arabia. He joined Al-Hilal from Al-Ittihad, the team with which he clinched the league title last season.
Reminder: Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to Al-Nassr and will play against Al-Fateh.
