Goodbye Stamford Bridge. Chelsea will be relocating to a new stadium John Walton/PA

One of Chelsea's main goals for the near future is the construction of a new stadium, and the club has recently made progress on this front.

Details: According to The Guardian, Chelsea has already entered into discussions with Transport for London (TfL) regarding the construction of a new arena in the Earl's Court area of West London. The club has identified a site for the stadium, and Chelsea’s master plan is currently under review.

Chelsea is dissatisfied with Stamford Bridge's current capacity of 42,000. From the moment the new owners took over, they set their sights on moving to a larger stadium.

However, there remains the possibility that Chelsea may not reach an agreement to build the new arena. In that case, the club would consider its backup option—renovating Stamford Bridge. Should it come to this, Chelsea may need to play several seasons at an alternate venue, most likely Wembley Stadium.

Reminder: Due to financial difficulties, Chelsea may face challenges in securing a license for European competitions in the 2025/26 season.
