We're in for an incredibly thrilling transfer battle.

Details: According to Marca journalist Matteo Moretto, Italian side Milan have targeted 26-year-old Brazilian goalkeeper Hugo Souza from Corinthians.

Reports indicate that the Rossoneri see Souza as a high-quality replacement for Mike Maignan, who is expected to leave Milan next summer. The club is already preparing all the necessary documents to begin negotiations with Souza and Corinthians in January.

It's also noted that Milan hope to reach a preliminary agreement this winter, with the actual transfer set to take place only in the summer.

This season, Souza has played 56 matches for Corinthians, conceding 50 goals and keeping 26 clean sheets.

Hugo Souza's current contract with Corinthians runs until 2028, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at 10 million euros.
