Good news for the Super Eagles: Porto's defender returns after a 10-month absence

After a 10-month absence, Porto's Nigerian defender Zaidu Sanusi returned from a long injury that kept him out of the stadiums for so long, and was included in the Porto team's list of 23 players that will face Anderlecht in the Europa League competitions.

Porto wants to get a good result against the Belgian Anderlecht, who has been having a very good period in the Europa League since last season, where they have not lost a single match for an eight-match series since 2018.

Porto currently sit in a precarious position in the new Europa League format. With just four points from four matches, they occupy 22nd place in the overall standings, where only the top 24 teams advance to the knockout stages.

Sanusi’s return could provide a timely boost as Porto look to reignite their campaign. A win against Anderlecht, who are joint-second in the group, is imperative if the Dragons are to keep their Europa League dreams alive.
