Good and bad news for Orlando Pirates fans at the same time: One player out, one player in!

According to reports in the South African football press, Buccaneers fans should be concerned about one of the team's most promising young players.
Although the South African side are about to make some transfers to strengthen the squad, they are also well aware that they could lose one of their best players, Relebohile Mofokeng.
There have been many rumors and skirmishes swirling around the 20-year-old star and today the news is getting bigger and bigger about the possibility of him leaving for another team in Africa or another continent. The last huge offer that was rejected was Zamalek from Egypt for R25.8 million bid.
In another development, Rele Mofokeng’s father, Sechaba, has reiterated his desire to see his son leave South Africa for a top European league. "My greatest wish is for Rele to move abroad in the 2025/26 season," he stated. "I pray daily for this. I don’t want him in the Betway Premiership anymore—I trust God will answer my prayers."
Sechaba firmly believes his son has the quality to succeed at elite European clubs. "Whether it’s Spain, England, France, the Netherlands, Denmark, or Switzerland—Rele can play at the highest level. Take him to Barcelona or PSG, he’d thrive. Any top league would suit him. But not Saudi Arabia—not yet."
He emphasized that while a move to the Gulf would bring financial rewards, Mofokeng’s development should take priority. "He’s still young and needs to compete in UEFA competitions. Going to Saudi now would deny him that experience. Money alone doesn’t bring happiness—you need fulfillment too."
