David Beckham has turned the 2026 World Cup into a personal goldmine, collecting a dividend of around 44 million euros.
Details: According to The Telegraph, the former England captain received a 38 million pound dividend after his business empire posted record profits on the back of the tournament. His company sealed major deals with the likes of McDonald's, Verizon and Pepsi, while the brand's revenue jumped 20 percent this year to reach 84 million pounds, roughly 97 million euros.
The World Cup in North America was the perfect stage for Brand Beckham. Knighted last year and now a Sir, he kept his football involvement light, hosting his Beckham and Friends livestream show with CBS, while the commercial machine did the heavy lifting. Earlier reports estimated he earned over 22 million euros from advertising deals during the tournament alone, with Shakira adding another 17.5 million, and the annual accounts now confirm the full scale of the windfall. Beckham, co owner of Inter Miami and the first British athlete with a fortune above a billion pounds, remains the gold standard of footballers turned businessmen.
It's worth noting that Beckham retired from playing more than a decade ago, yet financially he has never been stronger. The Spice Boy has officially won the World Cup too, just in the only competition where he never needed to kick a ball.
