Gold Cup Quarterfinals Set: High-Stakes Clashes Await This Weekend

The 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup has reached its knockout stage, with eight national teams set to battle for a place in the semifinals. As reported by Milenio Deportes, the quarterfinal matchups will be held across Saturday, June 28, and Sunday, June 29, with games scheduled at 5:00 PM and 8:15 PM local time (CDMX).
Mexico topped Group A as expected and will now face tournament guest Saudi Arabia, who advanced from Group D in second place behind a perfect United States squad. The USMNT will meet Costa Rica, Group A runners-up, in another classic regional showdown.
Group B qualifiers Canada and Honduras each advanced despite unconvincing form. Canada will meet Guatemala, coached by Luis Fernando Tena, while Group C winner Panama take on Honduras in a Central American derby with plenty of history.
The Gold Cup 2025 quarterfinals are:
• Mexico vs. Saudi Arabia
• United States vs. Costa Rica
• Canada vs. Guatemala
• Panama vs. Honduras
