Less than four months before the start of the 2025 Gold Cup, the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) announced that the official draw for the tournament will take place on Thursday, April 10.
This edition of the tournament, which will run from June 14 to July 6, will feature 16 national teams, and a new feature will be the invitation of Saudi Arabia as a guest nation.
The draw will be organized with eight pots: the first four will contain the names of the participating teams, while the remaining four will determine the placement in groups A, B, C, and D. Mexico, the reigning champion, will lead Group A, and the remaining teams will be allocated according to the national team rankings as of March 26.
Currently, eight teams have already secured their participation through the Nations League: Canada, Curacao, El Salvador, the United States, Haiti, Mexico, Panama, and the Dominican Republic. The remaining seven spots will be determined in a preliminary round, where 14 more teams from the region will compete.
The 2025 Gold Cup will take place in 14 stadiums across 11 cities in the USA and Canada. After the group stage, the top eight teams will advance to the playoffs, with the quarterfinals scheduled for June 28 and 29, the semifinals on July 2, and the final on July 6 at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.
