Gold Cup 2025 Draw Set for April 10: Groups, Teams and Tournament Details
The path to continental glory begins this Thursday as the draw for the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup takes place, according to ESPN. Set for 7:00 p.m. ET (5:00 p.m. Mexico City time), the ceremony will reveal the group stage matchups.
A total of 16 teams will compete in this year’s edition, including powerhouses like Mexico, the United States, Canada, and guest nation Saudi Arabia. The draw will be conducted using eight pots: four containing the participating nations and four with the designated groups A through D.
The top seeds—Mexico, Canada, Panama, and the United States—have already been assigned as group heads. Teams will be drawn from their respective pots and randomly placed into the remaining groups. The format ensures balance and intrigue ahead of the tournament kickoff.
This edition of the Gold Cup carries added weight, serving as a key preparatory stage for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, to be hosted by Mexico, the U.S., and Canada. Group stage action begins June 14 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
Matches will be played in 14 venues across the U.S. and Canada, many of which will also serve as 2026 World Cup sites. These include marquee stadiums like AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, and BC Place in Vancouver.
The tournament will conclude on July 6, when a new CONCACAF champion is crowned.
