“Glad I lived to see this day.” West Ham star Michail Antonio celebrates his birthday

West Ham forward Michail Antonio is celebrating his 35th birthday today. To mark the occasion, the footballer decided to congratulate himself by writing a lengthy post on his Instagram page.

Antonio recalled that just a few months ago, he was involved in a horrific accident that could have cost him his life.

“Since my 30th birthday I’ve woke up on my birthdays not really fussed about the day and I did the same thing this morning until the realisation hit me I actually almost didn’t make it to this birthday. So I just want to thank god for saving me and allowing me to make it to another birthday,” Antonio wrote.

To remind, on December 7, 2024, Michail Antonio was involved in a car accident that left him hospitalized with a broken leg, and his car completely wrecked.

Currently, the footballer is continuing his recovery from the injury and has even conducted several training sessions in Dubai, where he went for a 12-day training program.

It is worth noting that earlier this month, Antonio appeared at West Ham's stadium, greeting fans who showed him their support and love.
