In addition to the Italian Serie B, Girona are turning their eyes to another non-obvious market - the Croatian championship, from where they also intend to take reinforcements.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the Catalans are interested in signing Istra midfielder Oleksandr Petrusenko. The amount of the possible transfer is not named, but it is reported that the deal will not be one of the highest in the club's history.

A rather modest financial valuation of the Ukrainian midfielder is also suggested by Transfermarkt - just one million euros. Petrusenko is seen at Montilivi as a replacement for Aleix Garcia, who moved to Bayer Leverkusen.

Last season, the 26-year-old midfielder played in 30 games for Istra in the Croatian league and cup, even adding one assist. The team took eighth out of ten places in the local league.

We would like to remind you that Girona is already represented by two players with Ukrainian passports: Victor Tsygankov and Artem Dovbyk.
