The management of Girona Football Club is actively preparing the squad for the upcoming season, according to information from L’Esportiu de Catalunya.

The club aims to be ready for competition in the league, the Spanish Cup, as well as in European competitions (although it is currently unknown in which tournament exactly).

Girona plans to both sign new players and retain those already in the squad. Special attention is given to extending the contracts of Artem Dovbyk and Viktor Tsyhankov, as well as the head coach of the team, Michel Sanchez. They are offered new and improved cooperation terms in exchange for continuing their work and setting higher release clauses.

This is done to "deter" potential suitors for the players or to potentially generate more income in case of their sale. Dovbyk's contract runs until the summer of 2028, Tsyhankov's until the summer of 2027, and Michel's until the summer of 2026. In the current season, Artem has scored 15 goals and provided 7 assists, while Viktor has scored 5 goals and made 3 assists.
