Girlfriend of Borussia Dortmund defender embarrasses herself on social media. Even player missed it

There is a well-known expression, ‘the road to hell is paved with good intentions’. This is exactly what happened to the girlfriend of Borussia Dortmund defender Yan Couto, who wanted to support her lover, but instead got into an embarrassment.

Mariana David (that's the name of the Brazilian player's lady of the heart) posted a video of Couto playing in the Champions League match against Brugge with the caption ‘Even far away, I always hold my fists for you’. The player himself also posted the video without noticing the catch. The oversight was pointed out by fans.

In fact, Mariana published a video not from the actual match, but from a video game that was shown on her YouTube channel by a blogger. Fans pointed this out to her and she soon deleted the story.

In the match against Brugge, Couto, who represents Borussia on loan from Manchester City, was not in the starting line-up and Nuri Shaheen released him in the 87th minute.
