The Ivorian left-back is reported to have damaged his medial collateral ligament during a training session last week.

This injury forced Ghislain Konan to miss Wolves’ 1-0 victory over Watford on Matchday 12 of the Championship. According to Inside Wolves, medical scans have revealed damage to his knee.

The Ivorian defender is therefore expected to be sidelined for around eight weeks. This absence is a major blow for the player, who joined the English club during the summer transfer window.

However, there is some reassuring news alongside this diagnosis: no surgery will be required. The Ivory Coast international will have to undergo a rehabilitation programme before he can return to competitive action.

Wolves will now have to manage without their left-back for several weeks, whilst they await his recovery and return to action.
