Ghana’s U15 women’s team beat Burkina Faso in an epic final.
The Ghanaian and Burkinabe girls put on a spectacular show this Friday 10 April in Zimbabwe, where the competition took place. The two women’s teams played an intense match that ended goalless after normal time.
The Ghanaian and Burkinabe teams had to go to the fateful penalty shoot-out to decide the winner. But this decisive phase was also gruelling for both teams. Twenty penalties were taken, ten by each side, and it was the Ghanaian women who proved more clinical, scoring nine penalties to the Burkinabe women’s eight.
Ghana claimed the title for the second time in a row.
