Ghana’s Elisha Owusu Set to Leave Auxerre for Turkish Super Lig Club Erzurumspor
Ghana international midfielder Elisha Owusu is reportedly set to leave French club AJ Auxerre and join newly promoted Turkish Super Lig side Erzurumspor on a permanent transfer.
According to French sports newspaper L'Equipe, the two clubs are working towards a deal that would see Owusu move to Turkey despite having another year remaining on his contract with Auxerre.
The 28-year-old is currently tied to the French club until June 2027, but the proposed transfer would bring his time at Auxerre to an end 12 months before his contract expires.
Owusu joined Auxerre from Belgian side La Gantoise in January 2023 and has since established himself as an experienced midfielder in French football.
The Ghanaian is now expected to begin a new chapter in Turkey with Erzurumspor, who secured promotion to the Turkish top flight ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
