The Ghanaian international bolsters the Ligue 1 club for the 2026–2027 season.

OGC Nice have secured a new defensive reinforcement. The French club have officially announced the arrival of Alidu Seidu, on loan for one season from Stade Rennais.

The 26-year-old defender arrives in Nice to cover for the serious injuries sustained by Antoine Mendy and Moïse Bombito. The Ghana international will bring his experience to his new club.

Alidu Seidu knows the French league inside out. The defender has already made 106 Ligue 1 appearances for Clermont and Stade Rennais. His profile therefore convinced the Nice management, who were looking for an additional option in defence.

On his arrival in Nice, the Ghanaian defender made no secret of his ambitions.

“I want to play, to be on the pitch, to help the team and the club. I can’t wait to get down to work. I’ll give it my all so that we can have a great season together and make the supporters proud!”
