FC Samartex 1996 general manager Edmund Ackah has vowed to resign from his position if the Ghana Premier League club becomes involved in any illegal activities, including match-fixing.

Speaking in an interview with Asempa FM, Ackah expressed confidence in the club’s leadership and management, insisting that he would not remain in his role if any wrongdoing occurred.

“I will resign from FC Samartex if the club engages in anything illegal or match-fixing,” Ackah declared.

He also questioned reports that FC Samartex matches are not being televised because of the club’s location and the distance involved, describing the situation as unfair.

“I have heard that our games are not televised because of our location and the distance, but that is not fair,” he said.

Ackah further stressed that the club’s stadium has adequate security measures, including CCTV cameras, and questioned why their matches should be excluded from broadcasts.

“Our stadium is safe, with CCTV cameras everywhere, so I don’t understand why there would be a decision not to broadcast our games,” he told Asempa FM.
