Ghana international Mohammed Fuseini has returned to training with Royale Union Saint-Gilloise after being attacked and robbed in Brussels over the weekend.

The 24-year-old winger was reportedly targeted on Sunday, July 26, while sitting inside his parked car. The attack happened during the day, with a group of men said to have approached the vehicle before forcibly dragging the player out.

Footage of the incident later emerged online and was also shown by Belgian television. The images appear to show Fuseini being surrounded by several men before one of the attackers placed him in a chokehold.

The assailants reportedly made away with several personal belongings, including two iPhones, his wallet and a Rolex Datejust watch believed to be worth between €8,000 and €10,000.

Fuseini was left on the ground as the attackers escaped, bringing a frightening incident to an end.

The Union Saint-Gilloise player was subsequently taken to hospital, where doctors carried out medical examinations following the assault. He was later released after the checks.

Despite what happened, Fuseini did not take long to return to football.

The Ghanaian was back at the club's training ground on Monday, July 27, where he took part in a normal training session with the rest of the squad.
