Ghana Premier League: Hearts of Oak Withdraw From 2026 GHALCA Top-4 Tournament Over Fixture Clash

Accra Hearts of Oak have officially withdrawn from the 2026 GHALCA Top-4 Tournament, with the club citing a clash between the competition dates and their planned pre-season programme.

The Phobians announced their decision on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, after reviewing the tournament schedule and determining that taking part would disrupt their preparations for the upcoming 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season.

In an official statement, Hearts of Oak explained that the decision was made after careful consideration of the club's pre-season plans.

"Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club PLC wishes to inform its supporters, partners, and the general public that the club has decided to withdraw from the 2026 GHALCA Top-4 Tournament."

“After careful consideration, the Club has therefore decided that withdrawing from the tournament is the most appropriate course of action at this time,” Hearts of Oak said in the statement.
