Ghana Premier League: Fritz Markus Schmid Parts Ways With Bibiani Gold Stars

Bibiani Gold Stars have officially parted ways with head coach Fritz Markus Schmid, bringing an end to his spell with the Ghana Premier League club ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The Swiss tactician took charge of the Bibiani-based side during the second half of the 2025/26 campaign following the departure of Stephen Frimpong Manso.

Schmid enjoyed an impressive stint with Gold Stars, guiding the club to a second-place finish in the Ghana Premier League. With the new season set to begin in September, Gold Stars will now turn their attention to appointing a new head coach as they prepare for another campaign in Ghana's top flight.
