Ghana Premier League: Bechem United Appoint Kobina Amissah as New Head Coach After Poor Run of Form
Ghana Premier League side Bechem United have confirmed the appointment of experienced coach Kobina Amissah as their new head coach following the dismissal of Stephen Desmond-Issah Botchway earlier this week.
The club made the announcement several hours after confirming Stephen Desmond-Issah Botchway’s departure. His exit came in response to a disappointing run of results in the ongoing 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season, which has left Bechem struggling in the lower half of the table.
In an official statement released via the club’s social media channels, Bechem United expressed excitement about their new managerial appointment.
“The wait is over! The experienced gaffer KOBINA AMISSAH is now officially at the helm as our Head Coach!” the statement read.
“Let’s welcome him and get ready for an exciting journey ahead.”
Coach Amissah, known for his tactical discipline and ability to build competitive teams, is expected to assume duties immediately. He will lead the team’s preparations for their upcoming home fixture against Young Apostles on Sunday, November 9.
Bechem United have managed just one win since the start of the new campaign, and supporters will be hoping the appointment of Amissah can turn their fortunes around as the season progresses.
