Ghana Forward Bernard Tekpetey Suffers Racial Abuse After Scoring Winning Goal in Bulgarian Super Cup Ghana Forward Bernard Tekpetey Suffers Racial Abuse After Scoring Winning Goal in Bulgarian Super Cup

Ghanaian forward Bernard Tekpetey was subjected to racial abuse from sections of Levski Sofia supporters during and after Ludogorets’ victory in the Bulgarian Super Cup at the Vasil Levski National Stadium.

The winger emerged as the hero on Tuesday night, scoring the decisive goal that secured the trophy for Ludogorets. However, what should have been a moment of celebration was sadly marred by disturbing incidents directed at the Ghana international, both inside the stadium and on social media platforms.

In response, Ludogorets issued a strong statement condemning the actions, describing the behaviour of the offenders as “unacceptable.” The club reaffirmed its zero-tolerance stance against racism and expressed full support for Tekpetey following the incident.
