Germany's strong-willed victory and England's sensational defeat. Results of the friendly matches

The German and English national teams played their friendly matches before the 2024 European Championships. The Bundestim played against Greece, and the Few Lions team against Iceland.

England - Iceland - 0:1

Iceland scored a quick goal very unexpectedly. It happened in the 12th minute, with Thorsteinnsson scoring the goal. England had more possession and dominated the football field throughout the match, but the home team failed to do the main thing - they didn't score. Iceland defended very poorly and held on for a narrow victory.

England suffered a sensational 0-1 defeat to Iceland.

Germany - Greece 2:1

The Germans did not play a very convincing first half. Moreover, in the 34th minute, they conceded a goal, which came as a surprise to the Bundestim. However, after the break, Germany came out as a completely different team. A quick goal by Havertz levelled the score and the Germans continued to put pressure on the Greek goal and looked for approaches to the opponent's goal. Defender Pascal Gross scored the winning goal. From outside the penalty area, he hit the corner of the goal and gave Germany a 2-1 victory.
