Germany vs Hungary. Predicted line-ups and latest news, – June 19, 2024

The second round of the UEFA Euro 2024 group stage continues with a Group A match between Germany and Hungary.

The teams approach the match in slightly different moods. Die Mannschaft defeated Scotland 5-1 in the opening match of the Euros, while the Hungarians suffered an unpleasant defeat to Switzerland 1-3.

For the fans of the German team, head coach Julian Nagelsmann announced good news at the press conference: all of his charges are healthy and all of them will be able to play in the match against Hungary. About the upcoming opponent, he put it this way:

"We have prepared well. The players had a few hours to catch their breath and see their families. We have analysed the Hungarians well and have a clear idea of how they play.

At the end of the day, it's all about winning. We don't expect to knock every opponent out of the stadium. Hungary put Switzerland under a lot of pressure in the second half. Everyone on the pitch knows what needs to be done."

Hungary head coach Marko Rossi still has personnel problems. Defenders Loic Nego and Botond Balogh missed the opening match of the tournament against Switzerland and for the match against Germany they were also preparing individually, so they will not be able to play against the Bundestim.

The manager of the Hungarian team assessed his next opponent as follows:

"In the match against Scotland we saw what this German team is capable of; they dominated the opponent from start to finish. We know what to expect and it will be very difficult, but I hope we can take a point tomorrow and keep our hopes of getting out of the group alive. This German national team is not the same as it was three years ago; some of the players have changed and they have a great national coach."

It is expected that Rossi may make few changes to the line-up compared to the match against Switzerland, and instead of Attila Fiola, who played in that game, Bendeguz Bolla may come in on the right flank of the defence.
