Gavi will not be called up to the national team until 2025

Barcelona midfielder and Spanish national team player Gavi will not be called up to the national team until 2025, according to AS.

The player will not only miss Euro 2024 and the Olympic Games but also won't play for the Spanish national team until March 2025. The World Cup 2026 qualifiers begin then, and the football federation has decided not to risk calling him up earlier.

As previously reported, the young footballer suffered a cruciate ligament and lateral meniscus rupture during the Euro 2024 qualification match in which the Spanish national team defeated Georgia (3-1).

According to initial medical predictions, Gavi won't be able to return to the field for at least the next six months. Thus, the young talent will not join the Spanish national team for Euro 2024 and also risks missing the Olympic Games.

Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal and Villarreal striker Yeremy have expressed words of support for Barcelona midfielder Gavi. Additionally, Barcelona is not looking to sign another player as a replacement for the young midfielder.
