American tennis sensation, world number three, and the reigning champion of the US Open 2023, Coco Gauff, clinched the title at the WTA 250 hardcourt tournament in Brisbane, Australia.

In a hard-fought final, the American triumphed over the legendary Elina Svitolina from Ukraine (WTA 25) in three intense sets, securing victory in 2 hours and 35 minutes.

This marked the second encounter between the two players. In 2021, Elina emerged victorious against Coco in the 1/32 finals of the Australian Open.

Gauff successfully defended her title in Auckland, claiming the tournament for the second consecutive year. This victory constitutes her 7th career title.

Svitolina, competing in her 21st WTA-level final, was vying for her 18th trophy.

In the semifinals of the competition in New Zealand, Gauff defeated Emma Navarro, while Svitolina triumphed over Wang Xiyu.
