Gattuso leaves Hajduk as Italian coach slams club management

Head coach of Croatian side Hajduk, Gennaro Gattuso, has announced that he will leave the club after the upcoming match against Rijeka, despite having another year left on his contract. He emphasized that he will not demand compensation and delivered a scathing critique of the club's management.
The outspoken coach did not hold back in his assessment of the situation within the club, stressing that Hajduk is a great club with a rich history, but in recent years has failed to achieve success due to systemic issues. According to the Italian, progress is impossible under the current management model: he has not met with the club's leadership for several months.
Gattuso also revealed that he was asked to leave back in January, but refused at the time. Now, however, he says the situation has become unworkable—there is no budget, it is impossible to sign players, and overall, it just feels like moving forward is no longer possible.
