Gatti close to extending Juventus stay after standout performance against Man City


Juventus defender Federico Gatti is reportedly close to signing a new long-term contract with the club following his outstanding performance in their 2-0 victory over Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League.
Details: According to Ilbianconero.com, negotiations over a contract extension have been underway for some time, with the 26-year-old next in line for a renewal at Juventus. The announcement of the deal could come as early as the start of 2025.
The new agreement is expected to extend Gatti’s stay in Turin until 2029, potentially with an option for an additional season. His current contract runs until the summer of 2028. The defender is also set to receive a pay raise, increasing his salary from approximately €1.4 million per season to over €2 million annually.
Background: Gatti began his career at another Turin-based club, Torino. He joined Juventus in 2022, with the Bianconeri paying €9 million for the Italian international.
