Details: According to insider Fabrizio Romano, Atalanta boss Gasperini is close to taking over at Roma. He is ready to sign a contract until 2028 with a salary of five million euros per year.
Earlier, we reported that Gasperini held a meeting with the club's management, but at that time his future remained uncertain. Now, his departure looks like a very real scenario.
For the record: Under Gasperini's guidance, Atalanta won the Europa League for the first time in their history and qualified for the Champions League four times. This season, the Bergamo club finished third in Serie A after 30 rounds.
The 67-year-old specialist is currently under contract with Atalanta until the summer of 2026.
